Created by Daniel MacDonald
Daniel MacDonald of DMS Surfboards is the designer and founder of
the patented CARBON WRAP® technology. The technology is licensed only to his own brand, DMS and Matt Biolo's Lost Mayhem for worldwide use.
Many years of R&D, water time, team rider feedback and consumer confidence has led to this state of the art performance lamination technique. The #carbonwrap construction utilises a next level epoxy laminate combining uni-directional carbon, biaxial weave cloth and a fused cell EPS core by Aeroblank.
The carbon wrap is designed to strategically wrap around the board in a way that allows strength and flexibility under a surfers feet. The two strips of carbon that start at the nose of the board provide strength and allow the stringerless aeroblank to hold up in solid waves. Where the carbon wraps around the deck, it allows the board to flex down and pop back at the right time to give extra drive underneath the back foot.
Dan's passion and commitment to the evolution of materials and methodology in surfboard design has lead to a revolution in performance.

FUSED EPS CORE
(expanded polystyrene)
We use only the highest quality fused cell EPS cores. EPS foam is 100% recyclable. It is light, strong, super white with positive bouyancy and high water resistance.
Aeroblanks are the choice of blanks for this technology
EXCLUSIVE UNI-DIRECTIONAL CARBON TAPE
Our exclusive carbon fibre uni weave tape distributes load and energy in a longitudinal direction creating increased strength, flex and rebound.
BI-AXIAL WEAVE
FIBREGLASS
We use a 5oz BI-AXIAL weave cloth insert on the deck. Designed specifically to increase strength and reduce impact damage on the deck of the surfboard.
SUPERIOR EPOXY RESIN LAMINATE
Epoxy resin is proven to provide superior strength. It retains its lively feel up to 5 times longer than polyester resin
and has 1/10 the VOC's
(volatile organic compounds).
